About me

My fascination with mushrooms started at home in 2018 with a simple growing kit. Bored with the houseplants and looking for a bit of mystery, I have since delved endlessly into the world of mushroom cultivation and mycology. What began as curiosity quickly became a passion—one that led me to explore the science behind these often misunderstood organisms.
After years of hands-on cultivation and study, I earned my MSc in Fungal Biology at Utrecht University. Now, I'm committed to spread knowledge, share science, and drive innovation in mycology and mushroom cultivation. Whether through workshops, lectures, or other collaborations, I want to share the wonders of fungi and their potential to transform.
I hope we can grow the mycelial network together!

Past collaborations
Carnivale Brettanomyces - June 2026

In the summer of 2026 I collaborated with 'Carnival Brettanomyces', a fermented festival full of yeast and funky beers hosted by De Kromme Haring (Utrecht) where I gave a lecture on 'Mycorrhizae in the Rhizosphere'. We together explored the interconnected world between plant roots and multicellular fungi, shaping belowground resource collaboration and competition.
